CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – John Hilborn, a building contractor with a wealth of experience in Clarksville, has been promoted to City Project Manager.
"John brings a depth of experience to the position of Project Manager,” Mayor Joe Pitts said. “He has already made a difference in the many different projects we've started since he came on board."
Hilborn came to Clarksville in 1987 as a soldier at Fort Campbell. He was self-employed as a building contractor in the area from 1990 to 2020. In February 2020 joined the Clarksville Building & Codes Department. In October 2020 he transferred to the Municipal Properties Department and was recently promoted to Project Manager, the leader of the department.
The City Project Manager plans and coordinates various building projects and services for Municipal Properties, which includes assets in City Departments excluding public safety and utility departments.
Hilborn succeeds David Smith, the former Project Manager who was named Building & Codes Director last month.
