CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Parks & Recreation received a Four Star Award from the Tennessee Recreation & Parks Association for renovation of the pavilion at Billy Dunlop Park.
The Renovated Facility Award (budget $500,000 or less) was awarded to the Department at the Association’s 69th Annual Conference. The renovated pavilion at Billy Dunlop Park is 146 by 74 feet and had not been updated since the 1960s. The extensive renovations, completed earlier this year, included removal of dated brick wall partitions and upgrading the restrooms.
“It’s a great honor to accept this award on behalf of Clarksville Parks & Recreation and the City of Clarksville,” said Jennifer Letourneau, Clarksville Parks & Recreation Director. “This project was much needed to better accommodate those with special needs, and we were able to update and give the facility a facelift in the process.”
