The City of Clarksville Project Manager's office announces that the replacement of the roof at Clarksville City Hall, 1 Public Square in downtown, is about to begin.
The contractor is scheduled to start setting up safety scaffolding at the entrances to City Hall this week. This is currently scheduled for Friday, August 18.
Workers will begin staging materials and dumpsters on the following Monday, August 21. There will be a crane on site on Tuesday, August 22, to transport materials to the roof and begin demolition and construction of the roof.
Along with the roof work, there will be areas of the upper City Hall parking lot and US Bank drive-thru area that will be blocked off at these times. The public is asked to please be mindful of these areas.
There will be debris and work taking place along the entire perimeter of the building through this period. The City wishes to accommodate the contractor, in order to get this work done as quickly and safely as possible. Please obey any signs and personnel throughout this process.
The timetable for all of this work depends on weather conditions.
