CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Parks & Recreation has announced the return of Mayor's Summer Night Lights, a series of events that provide purposeful, positive experiences for the youth in our community.
The event will be held every Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m., offering an exciting array of attractions and resources to entertain and empower young individuals.
The Mayor's Summer Night Lights event will feature a diverse range of activities designed to cater to various interests and passions. Attendees can look forward to inflatables, sports tournaments, and enriching sessions that promote educational and skill-building experiences.
In addition, community resources, health and job information booths, and motivational speakers will be available to provide valuable guidance and support.
Attendees will also enjoy a free meal each night, ensuring no one leaves hungry (while supplies last).
"We are excited once again to host the Mayor's Summer Night Lights event, offering the youth of Clarksville a chance to engage in positive activities during the summer break," said Mayor Joe Pitts. "This event serves as a testament to our dedication to the well-being and development of our young people, and we hope it will provide them with memorable experiences, new skills, and lifelong friendships."
The Mayor's Summer Night Lights event will take place on the following dates, at various locations, each with its unique theme:
5/30 Kleeman Recreation Center - Shark Week
Free Swim at New Providence Pool 6:15-7:30 p.m.
6/6 Lincoln Homes - Color Your World
6/13 Caldwell Lane - The Great Outdoors
6/20 Bel-Aire Park - A Pirates Life for Me
6/27 Mason Rudolph Golf Course - A Night Fore Fun
7/11 Barbara Johnson Park - Animal Planet
7/18 Byrns Darden Elementary School - Out of this World
7/25 Dixon Park - Wide World of Sports
8/1 Austin Peay State University - National Night Out
