Keri Lovato takes interim seat in Clarksville City Council Ward 12

Lovato

Keri Lovato has been selected  by the Clarksville City Council, from a field of applicants, to assume the role of interim City Councilperson for Ward 12.

The seat had been vacated by Trisha Butler. Lovato was administered the oath of office from Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, and will serve until the next city elections.

A mother of four who has become engaged in community work, Lovato is an independent insurance agent.

"I am a huge advocate for small businesses and nonprofits," Lovato said upon being elected by the council Wednesday afternoon.

"The reason I wanted the council position is to learn more about our city government, and to support families, public safety, and small businesses, thoroughly," she said.
