On Monday and Tuesday, May 8-9, weather permitting, crews for B.R. Miller Company will be removing the old terracotta arch from the entrance of 106 Public Square.
City of Clarksville Projects Manager John Hilborn said the existing terracotta arch has begun to fail and is separating from the building.
"It will need to be reproduced and replaced," Hilborn said. "There are also concerns about structural defects in the building that require removal of the arch for adequate evaluation."
For the two days of work, the five parking spaces in front of 106 Public Square will be reserved for B.R. Miller personnel only. Security personnel will redirect people reporting to City Court to the rear entrance of the building. An aerial map shown here indicates how entry to the building will be conducted.
