Month of the Military Child proclamation

MOMC

Mayor Joe Pitts and the Clarksville City Council recognized, by state and local proclamations, April as Month of the Military Child. Ward 2 Councilperson Deanna McLaughlin was named Tennessee's first Commissioner to the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission in 2011, and remains in that post. McLaughlin presented a MOMC proclamation from Gov. Bill Lee. Purple is the color for MOMC honoring families from all branches of service, and the gathering included, among others, Cmmd. Sgt. Maj. Chad Stackpole with the Fort Campbell Garrison Command. Children, youth and teens are honored for the sacrifices they make as part of transient military families.
