Clarksville Gas and Water

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Gas & Water has planned water valve work on Monday, June 13, at 10 p.m. on University Avenue and Franklin Street requiring a water outage and road closures to allow for the work.

Water service will be turned off on University Avenue from Main Street to Franklin Street and on Franklin Street from S. 5th Street to University Avenue. Low water pressure may also affect the vicinity.

University Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Commerce Street and Franklin Street will be closed from Childers Place to University Avenue during the work. University Avenue traffic will be detoured to Main Street and Commerce Street and Franklin Street traffic will be detoured to N. 4th Street.

Motorists are asked to slow down when approaching the work zone and be alert to utility workers and their equipment or choose an alternate travel route when possible.

The water valve work is anticipated to be finished, water service restored and the roads reopened by approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14.
