This week is National Security Guard Appreciation Week, and to celebrate, we will be highlighting the faces of our Security & Loss Prevention team that oversee City Hall, Clarksville Transit System, Clarksville Gas & Water, City Court, Clarksville Parks & Recreation, and the over 350 municipal properties throughout the community.
Last, but certainly not least, we close out National Security Guard Appreciation Week by highlighting CPL Steven Coderre (left) and Duncan Cordova (right).

CPL Steven Coderre is a Loss Prevention Officer II for the city of Clarksville. He uses his 20 years of U.S. Army Infantry experience and numerous years of armed security to enhance customer service and safety at the North Clarksville City Services Center at 111 Cunningham Lane. After losing his wife to cancer this year, Steve has had to find a new way to define life. He focuses on spending his off time with his dog Minnie and his children & grandchildren.
Steve's motto is to use common sense in everything he does, including his position with the city of Clarksville.
Duncan began his career in the security sector in San Diego, California working major events such as Comic-Con and the International Car Show along with major baseball and football games at the local stadiums. He moved to Tennessee after the 2008 wildfires and gained valuable experience working security at nightclubs. He joined the City in 2017 when he was hired on at the Clarksville Transit System where he spearheaded the pilot program. He spent four years improving the safety and security of public transportation and has recently been tasked with heading up the parks patrol program to increase the quality and security of all Parks & Recreation patrons.
