[ARCHIVED] City to host vendor fair for small businesses

Reverse Vendor Fair Flyer 2

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Purchasing Department will conduct a Reverse Vendor Fair for small businesses interested in providing goods and services to the City.

The fair will be from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 16 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

City departments will offer information about products and services the City routinely purchases, and representatives will greet potential vendors and answer questions they may have. Business owners will have the opportunity to learn more about the City’s purchasing process along with creative ways the City and business owners can work together.

The event is free to all vendors and no sign up process is necessary.

“Many small businesses and minority-owned businesses are looking for information about how to become a vendor for the City of Clarksville,” said Camille Thomas, Clarksville Purchasing Director.  “Often, vendors are unsure where their product or service fits into the overall process, and they especially are looking for information to help them get their ‘foot in the door’ for small dollar purchases. We want this fair to open up the process and help local businesses engage with their City government.”
