[ARCHIVED] THDA offers help with COVID-19 Rent Relief Act

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. –  Federal money designated in the COVID-19 Rent Relief Act of 2020 is available to support renters who are struggling to pay rent, utilities or other home energy costs because of lost wages and income as a result of the pandemic.


Tennessee Housing Development Agency is administering this COVID-19 Rent Relief program for most of Tennessee, including Clarksville and Montgomery County. THDA's Rent Relief Call Center is now live via phone and online and available to help individuals who have questions regarding the program, eligibility and documentation.


The number to call is 844-500-1112 and the center’s hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Or visit the COVID-19 Rent Relief program page online at

The THDA COVID-19 Rent Relief application portal will go live on Monday, March 1 at 8 a.m. Information on how to apply is available at the call center and website.
