Citizens Police Academy (CPA)

CPD is currently accepting applications for cpa 2023

Clarksville Police Department has a free Citizen’s Police Academy where our department is able to give back to its citizens by providing a better understanding of law enforcement and how our police officers work within the community.  You get to meet your officers who work in different fields of law enforcement to include: Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Crash Investigations, K-9 operations, Crime Scene Investigation, T.A.C.T. Team, Crisis Response Unit, and more.  Academy participants also receive the chance to partake in activities such as police vehicle operations, firearms instruction, responding to 911 calls, and use of force decision-making exercises.

Over the course of ten weeks, this academy will provide a fun and interactive way to educate and develop positive relations with our citizens. It is an ongoing process to build community cooperation, understanding, and goodwill!

CPA has a strict attendance requirement; please apply only if you are willing and able to make a commitment to attend each class.

During the course of this academy, photos will be taken. By submitting the application, you are allowing the Clarksville Police Department to use and publish photos that may have you in them, without restriction.
